GIVING

WHY TO GIVE

God is glorified when his people contribute generously to support the advancement of his gospel (2Cor. 9:12-15). Our Lord said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35); therefore, we do not seek the gift itself, but primarily the benefit and blessing of those who partner with us in this work (Phil. 4:17).

Based on the principles taught in Second Corinthians chapters 8 and 9, we believe that giving is a manifestation of God’s grace at work in believers (8:1, 4, 6-7; 9:8-10, 14) and must be done cheerfully (8:2; 9:7), proportionately (8:3, 12), willingly (8:3, 10-12; 9:2, 5), sincerely (8:8), submissively (8:7-9; 9:13), generously (8:2, 20; 9:6, 11, 13), zealously (9:2), and purposefully (8:7, 10-11, 24; cf. 1Cor. 16:2).

HOW TO GIVE

Check. This is a preferable means of giving since it ensures that 100% of the funds received go directly toward ministry use.
